“Epiphany” means to have our eyes opened. Part of the Church’s calling is to open the eyes of humanity to the plight of humanity. So, we are having an “in-house epiphany meal” available only to the people of our Church Community. It will resemble a meal that is often served to our homeless guests and clients at our outreach centres in our city. It will be an “eye opener”.
It will consist of potatoes and ham (with pineapple) and a muffin for dessert – nothing more. It will cost $15 / meal with all the money going to support out-reach centres in our city.
There are 3 options to support the Epiphany Dinner:
a) buy a meal and eat it yourself;
b) buy a meal for someone else;
c) donate the cost of a meal to our out-reach funds.
Call the Church starting January 3rd to place your order – 902-435-3644.
The dinner will be available on January 13th from 4:00-6:00 at the Church – Take Out Only.
Let’s see how the other half of God’s children eat. It is time for an Epiphany!
Feeding Others of Dartmouth Christmas Dinner: Margaret’s House will be serving takeout meals to their guests on Christmas Day. They have asked us to provide homemade rolls, biscuits, butter and margarine. Please wrap the biscuits or rolls in packages of 2 or 3. This greatly reduces the work that the volunteers at Margaret’s House need to do to prepare the meals.
Jim Smithson will be in front of the church between 9 and 10 am on the morning of December 24 to pick up your donations. Thank you for helping those in our community who are most in need and making their Christmas a little bit brighter.
Margaret’s House is also looking for the following items:
