Offerings? 3 ways:
= E-transfer – firstname.lastname@example.org
This is a quick and fantastic way to support the work of your Church Community. Sit at your home computer and away you go.
= PAR, Pre-Authorized Remittance – call or email the church and we will send you out a form. Fill it in, return it to the office and we will handle the rest. This is a great way to support your Church Family on a monthly basis.
= cheques to the Church Office – 263 Waverley Road, Dartmouth, NS B2X 2C8
Always the old faithful way of supporting your Church’s work.
Margaret’s House is providing takeout meals and donations of money are gratefully received. Margaret’s House feeds the hungry, domestically challenged and people dealing with less than ideal situations. No one is denied. The Churches of the City supply the needs to our guests. If you would like to help, presently donations of money is the best way.
North Dartmouth Outreach Resource Centre (NDORC) foodbank works out of Stairs Memorial United Church. Donations can be made through your financial offerings to Port Wallis. The NDORC not only feeds the hungry but offers fellowship time, a listening ear and serves as an advocate.
If you are wrestling with isolation, loneliness or need to speak to someone, call the church answering machine 902-435-3644 and Ivan will be in contact with you as soon as he gets the message.
PRAYER CIRCLE IN OUR CONGREGATION
If you want to add someone to our prayer circle, please let us know at the office (902-435-3644). As well, if someone is in the hospital, please let us know. In your prayers, remember Reta, Mary, Blaine, Joan, Johnny, Gwen, John, Daryl, Woody, Barbe, Harry, Lorrie, and Barb.
Let us remember all people as we start back to restricted work possibilities. Please be patient and carry a mask with you at all times.
Weekly virtual coffee chat
Tuesday morning 10:00-10:45
This is a time to have a visit with your friends as we enjoy a cuppa together. Join us and make some new friends. Email the church email@example.com and we will send you the link info. Once you receive the link, just click on it and then you are there with your new and old friends. You will need to download ZOOM but this is easy and we can walk you through it if you give us a call
The wandering minister…. I am taking my ‘almost daily’ walks through the area of Port Wallis. This gives me an opportunity to pray for you, sometimes see you, and at all times, allows me to give thanks for all the people of Port Wallis area. If you see me, honk your horn id driving or shout out and we will stop and have a chat.
Why buy “Breaking the Silence” (BTS) coffee? The Maritimes-Guatemala Breaking the Silence Solidarity Network (BTS) has been a long-term partner of the Justice, Mission and Outreach Committee of the United Church. BTS partners with a collective of coffee farmers in Guatemala and with Just Us! Fair Trade Coffee Roasters Co-op to bring fair trade, organic coffee to the Maritimes. The proceeds of each bag of coffee purchased supports BTS human rights solidarity work.
An electronic newsletter will go out soon.
Cross Canada Pandemic Pilgrimage!
