PRAYER CIRCLE IN OUR CONGREGATION

Prayer Shawls ~ We have received a donation of yarn. If you wish to knit a prayer shawl, we will provide yarn and pattern. Please see Helen Edgar.
Spirit Cafe Discussion night will be held at the Wooden Monkey Restaurant, Alderney Ferry Terminal Dartmouth 530-645pm Monday 2 December. Our topic will be “Advent/Christmas: Anxiety or Anticipation?”. Please come and join us for food, fellowship and discussion.
Family Advent Event ~ Please join us for the Family Advent Event on Sunday, December 1st at 3:00 pm to make Chrismons for the Christmas Tree in the Sanctuary and our traditional spaghetti dinner. Please sign up, so we know how many are coming for the beginning of the Advent Season.
Gifts with Vision ~ A giving catalogue from the People of The United Church of Canada. You can donate online – giftswithvision.ca, by mail or by phone. Catalogues are on the round table in the entry way.
Advent Bible Study – Belonging: Using the Advent words “longing” and “belonging,” this study offers a challenge to examine the desire to belong, the struggle of creating belonging, and offers an opportunity for participants to create a circle of belonging by hosting an Advent gathering. December 3, 10 & 17th at Port Wallis United Church @ 9:30 am. This is part of the United Churches for Dartmouth initiative.

Food Bank Item of the Week ~ Kraft Dinner ~ 2 for $1.00 –Family Drug Store – Portland Street
Reverse Advent Calendar ~ reminds everyone that holidays are about giving. We have included an example which can be used for items for the Food Bank. They can be collected over the Advent Season and brought to Church on Christmas Eve.
