How the Bible Actually Works Zoom Book Study, hosted by Grace United Church is open to the people of the United Churches for Dartmouth and members of the public who wish to join us. The study is based on the book “How the Bible Actually Works” by Peter Enns, a professor of Biblical Studies at Eastern University in Pennsylvania and the host of the Bible for Normal People podcast. In the blurb on the cover of the book Enns writes “In Which I Explain How an Ancient, Ambiguous, and Diverse Book Leads Us to Wisdom Rather Than Answers – and Why That’s Great News.” The study will be 6 weeks long and will feature a short video of Peter Enns for each of those sessions and discussions. The study will be on Monday nights starting at 7:00 pm and ending by 8:30 pm beginning Monday, October 18. It will be facilitated by Mark and Shirley Hazen. Please e-mail Mark and Shirley at email@example.com to sign up for this study.
The Hazens were able to obtain some hardcover books at the incredibly low price of $5. They currently have a couple of hardcover books available. Please e-mail Mark and Shirley immediately to reserve your copy. If demand exceeds supply, they can re-order if people let them know soon enough.
