HYMN
LIGHTING OF THE ADVENT WREATH’S CANDLES
We light the Candle of HOPE – indefatiguable hope!
The Hope we have of a world renewed in Christ.
We light the Candle of PEACE – peace that passes all human comprehension.
The assuring peace that God is with us.
We light the candle of JOY, indwelling jubilation.
Joy that springs from the certainty of our salvation.
We light the candle of LOVE, tender acceptance and inclusion.
Love that is the greatest commandment of Christ.
Now we light the Christ Candle – God’s Light among us,
and together we say,
Let there be Light!
And the Glory of the Lord shone round about them!
