Rev. Blake Caldwell is the Assistant Minister at Port Wallis United Church.
He was born in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. He Attended elementary school in Dartmouth, N.S.; Junior High in Gimli, Manitoba, and Senior High In Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Employed with the Department of National Defence for 17 years. Received as a Candidate for Ordained Ministry in The United Church Of Canada from Stairs Memorial United Church, Dartmouth, N.S. Rev. Caldwell did his undergraduate studies at St. Mary’s University, and graduated From Pine Hill Divinity Hall with a diploma in Theology and a Bachelor of Theology degree from Atlantic School of Theology, Halifax. Ordained by the Maritime Conference, United Church of Canada at Mount Allison University Sackville, N.B. in May, 1974.
Served the Waterview Pastoral Charge, Sydney Presbytery; The Harrisville-Steeves Memorial Pastoral Charge, Moncton, N.B. Chignecto Presbytery, Founding minister of Forest Hills United Church, Dartmouth, N.S. Retired end of June, 2003.
Since retirement, have served the following Pastoral Charges as Retired United Church Supply Minister: New Minas United, Valley Presbytery; St. John’s United, Halifax Presbytery; United Memorial, Halifax Presbytery and Stairs Memorial, Halifax Presbytery.
Presently Rev. Caldwell is very pleased to be part time Assistant Minister with the Port Wallis United Church family as well as Board member at Oakwood Terrace, Dartmouth and Secretary of The United Church Hunter Church Building Fund.
He is married to Eunice Caldwell, and they are the parents of two children, son Christopher and daughter Kathy. They have four grandchildren: Erin, Allyson, Jade and Abigail.
